about

"Distant Shores' is my new EP in collaboration with Ian Urbina. Ian is an investigative reporter who writes most often for The New York Times, and is also a contributing writer for The Atlantic and The New Yorker. The EP is a part of his collaboration series with artists from all over the globe. It is fully inspired by his book "The Outlaw Ocean". It's a book that chronicles lawlessness at sea around the world. The reporting touches on a diversity of abuses ranging from illegal and overfishing, arms trafficking at sea, human slavery and many other topics. The Outlaw Ocean music project turns journalism into music.
